Paid Webinar and Event Pass Terms
1. Introduction
These Paid Webinar / Event Pass Terms (“Event Pass Terms”) govern the use of paid webinar, paid attendance, ticketing, Event Pass and related commercial functionality provided through cRUD Webinar by CRUD INFOSYSTEMS PRIVATE LIMITED, operating under the brand name The cRUD Company (“cRUD”, “The cRUD Company”, “Company”, “we”, “us” or “our”).
These Terms supplement our:
- Terms of Service;
- Billing, Cancellation & Refund Policy;
- Acceptable Use Policy;
- Privacy Policy;
- applicable Customer agreement.
2. When these Terms apply
The current organizer Event Pass is governed by the organizer allowance and pricing explanation in section 59 of the Billing, Cancellation & Refund Policy. Event Passes are $40 on Start, $35 on Run and $30 on Scale, per pass before applicable taxes. Pay as you use means a $0 Start account with optional prepaid Event Passes at $40 each, not per-minute billing. Unlimited webinars means a Run or Scale subscription plus a separately purchased pass for every additional eligible webinar: $35 per pass on Run and $30 on Scale. It does not mean unlimited webinars included in the subscription fee. Each pass creates one Webcast with a maximum duration of 60 minutes and capacity of 100 attendees selected by default, irrespective of plan. The organizer may reduce either setting for that webinar, but may not increase duration above 60 minutes or capacity above 100 attendees. The selected lower limits apply to registration, admission, and the session. Each pass has 30-day validity after allocation. Request 1-20 at a time and request further batches as needed; existing scheduling, storage, account and service limits still apply. Sales confirms the applicable plan-based rate, and cRUD issues an invoice showing the final tax-inclusive total, payable by bank transfer or UPI. It is not paid attendee access. cRUD does not offer attendee-paid ticketing and does not collect, hold, settle or pass on attendee payments. No cRUD purchase can be paid through the website or product. The attendee-ticketing provisions that follow are a reserved framework: they do not apply to the organizer allowance and have no effect unless cRUD Webinar separately and expressly enables one of the following and first publishes a revised version of these Terms:
- purchase of webinar access;
- sale of Event Passes;
- paid registration;
- paid replay access;
- another paid attendee-access mechanism.
No such functionality is enabled, and these Terms do not imply that it is available.
3. Definitions
“Attendee”
means an individual purchasing, receiving, or using access to a Paid Event.
“Event Pass”
within the future attendee-ticketing provisions of this document, means a digital ticket, registration or access right permitting an Attendee to access a Paid Event. This is distinct from the current organizer Event Pass, which buys an additional webinar allowance, not attendee access.
“Organizer”
means the Customer or Organization using cRUD Webinar to create, advertise, sell, or operate a Paid Event.
“Paid Event”
means a webinar, replay, session, or other experience for which payment is required.
“Platform Fee”
means any fee charged by cRUD for providing Event Pass functionality.
“Payment Provider”
means a regulated third-party payment provider. cRUD does not use one: every payment to cRUD is made by bank transfer or UPI against a cRUD invoice.
4. Role of the Organizer
Unless the Paid Event page expressly states otherwise, the Organizer is responsible for the underlying Paid Event.
The Organizer determines matters such as:
- event subject;
- speakers;
- content;
- schedule;
- ticket price, within platform constraints;
- cancellation;
- event-specific conditions;
- attendee experience.
5. Role of cRUD
cRUD provides technology that may enable:
- event creation;
- registration;
- Event Pass issuance;
- access control;
- communications;
- webinar delivery;
- replay;
- analytics.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, cRUD does not become:
- the speaker;
- event organizer;
- producer of Customer Content;
- guarantor of statements made during the event.
6. Seller identification
Where applicable, the Paid Event page should clearly identify the Organizer responsible for the event.
This may include:
- Organizer name;
- business identity;
- relevant contact information;
- support or grievance route where legally required.
This is particularly important where applicable e-commerce/consumer law requires clear seller and grievance information. (official Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020)
7. Organizer authority
An Organizer offering a Paid Event represents that it:
- has authority to operate the event;
- has authority to charge for access;
- has rights to relevant event content;
- can lawfully provide the advertised service.
8. Accurate event information
Organizers must provide materially accurate information concerning:
- event title;
- date;
- time;
- timezone;
- speakers;
- event format;
- price;
- material restrictions;
- cancellation/refund terms where applicable.
9. Misleading events
Organizers must not materially misrepresent:
- event content;
- speaker identity;
- affiliations;
- commercial purpose;
- promised deliverables;
- price.
Fraudulent or deceptive Paid Events may result in immediate enforcement.
10. Event Pass purchase
An Attendee purchasing an Event Pass will be shown the applicable transaction details before purchase.
These may include:
- event;
- Organizer;
- price;
- currency;
- taxes;
- payment terms;
- refund/cancellation information.
11. Acceptance of terms
By completing an Event Pass purchase, the Attendee agrees to:
- these Event Pass Terms;
- applicable Terms of Service;
- applicable billing/refund terms;
- applicable event-specific conditions presented before purchase.
12. Electronic records
cRUD may maintain records of Event Pass transactions including:
- purchaser;
- event;
- Organizer;
- amount;
- currency;
- invoice or payment reference;
- timestamp;
- Event Pass Terms version;
- applicable refund terms.
13. Pricing
The price displayed immediately before payment is the applicable event price unless:
- a clear technical error exists;
- applicable taxes are separately disclosed;
- another charge is expressly disclosed before payment.
14. No hidden mandatory charges
Mandatory transaction charges controlled by cRUD or the Organizer should be disclosed before the purchase is finalized where applicable.
15. Taxes
Paid Event transactions may be subject to:
- GST;
- other applicable indirect taxes;
- withholding or reporting requirements.
Responsibility for taxes depends on:
- transaction structure;
- Organizer location;
- attendee location;
- applicable law.
16. Tax responsibility of Organizers
Organizers are responsible for taxes legally imposed on their provision or sale of the underlying event except to the extent cRUD is legally required to collect, report, or remit those taxes.
17. Tax invoices
Where required and supported, appropriate invoice or transaction documentation may be made available.
18. Payment Provider
No Payment Provider is used. cRUD does not accept payment through its website or products; any amount payable to cRUD is invoiced and paid by bank transfer or UPI.
If paid attendee access with a Payment Provider is ever introduced, that provider and its role must be identified in a revised version of these Terms before launch.
19. Payment-card data
cRUD does not collect, process or store payment-card data.
20. Payment authorization
The purchaser represents that:
- they have authority to make the purchase;
- payment is made from a bank account they are authorised to use;
- billing and remittance information is accurate.
21. Unpaid invoices
If an invoice is not paid:
- no Event Pass may be issued or allocated;
- access may remain unavailable;
- cRUD may send a payment reminder.
22. Duplicate payments
If an invoice is paid more than once, or issued more than once in error, the duplicate amount should be refunded, credited or cancelled.
23. Event Pass issuance
After successful payment, cRUD may issue:
- registration confirmation;
- unique attendee link;
- Event Pass identifier;
- other access entitlement.
24. Event Pass access
An Event Pass grants only the access described at purchase.
It does not automatically include:
- unrelated webinars;
- other sessions;
- future events;
- downloadable content;
- lifetime access,
unless expressly stated.
25. Personal Event Passes
Unless the Organizer expressly permits transfer, an Event Pass may be personal to the registered Attendee.
26. Sharing access
Attendees must not deliberately:
- share unique access links;
- resell Event Passes without authorization;
- defeat paid-access restrictions;
- distribute credentials publicly.
27. Unauthorized resale
Unauthorized commercial resale of Event Passes may result in:
- access cancellation;
- Account restriction;
- enforcement.
28. Access circumvention
Users must not:
- manipulate attendee tokens;
- bypass payment;
- exploit registration defects;
- create unauthorized access links.
Such conduct may violate the Acceptable Use Policy.
29. Event capacity
Paid Events may have attendee limits.
Purchase does not entitle the Attendee to admit additional persons beyond the purchased access.
30. Event date and time
The Organizer is responsible for setting the event schedule.
The interface may display dates/times according to the user’s timezone.
Attendees should verify the displayed schedule.
31. Schedule changes
An Organizer may reschedule an event.
Where a material schedule change occurs, affected Attendees should receive appropriate notice where practicable.
32. Material rescheduling
A material rescheduling may include:
- different date;
- substantially different time;
- significant format change.
Refund rights may depend on:
- event-specific terms;
- applicable law;
- circumstances.
33. Organizer cancellation
Where an Organizer cancels a Paid Event before it occurs, affected Attendees should generally receive the treatment required by:
- applicable law;
- the disclosed event terms;
- cRUD payment architecture.
34. Default cancellation principle
Unless a different lawful rule was clearly disclosed, a Paid Event that is completely cancelled and not reasonably replaced should ordinarily result in appropriate refund treatment for the amount paid for the cancelled event, subject to payment-processing limitations and applicable law.
35. Replacement event
An Organizer may offer:
- rescheduled event;
- replacement session;
- equivalent access.
Whether an Attendee must accept a replacement depends on applicable terms and law.
36. Attendee cancellation
An Attendee who chooses not to attend is not automatically entitled to a refund.
Refund entitlement depends on:
- event-specific refund terms;
- applicable consumer law;
- cRUD’s Billing Policy;
- Organizer terms.
37. No-show
Failure to attend a Paid Event after valid access was provided generally does not create a refund entitlement unless:
- event-specific rules provide otherwise;
- mandatory law requires otherwise.
38. Late arrival
Joining late does not ordinarily create a refund entitlement.
39. Technical problems on Attendee side
Problems arising solely from the Attendee’s:
- Internet connection;
- unsupported device;
- local network;
- browser configuration;
- blocked corporate network;
- compromised device
do not automatically create a refund right.
40. Platform-wide technical failure
Where a material cRUD-controlled outage prevents access to substantially the entire Paid Event, cRUD and/or the Organizer may consider:
- replacement access;
- replay;
- event rescheduling;
- refund;
- credit.
The appropriate remedy will depend on the circumstances and applicable law.
41. Replay as remedy
Where disclosed or reasonably appropriate, replay access may be provided following:
- missed live access;
- technical interruption;
- event completion.
Replay availability does not automatically eliminate legally required refund rights.
42. Materially different content
If the event delivered is materially different from the event that was sold, an Attendee may submit a complaint.
43. Speaker changes
Speaker replacement does not automatically entitle an Attendee to a refund unless:
- the named speaker was a material basis of the purchase;
- event terms promised otherwise;
- applicable law requires a remedy.
44. Minor program changes
Organizers may make reasonable changes such as:
- agenda order;
- presentation timing;
- minor content adjustment.
These do not ordinarily create refund rights.
45. Refund policy disclosure
Before purchase, the applicable refund position should be made reasonably accessible.
46. Organizer-specific refund terms
Where supported, an Organizer may establish event-specific refund conditions.
Such conditions must not:
- violate applicable law;
- contradict mandatory cRUD rules;
- mislead purchasers.
47. cRUD platform fees
cRUD may charge:
- Subscription fees;
- Event Pass fees;
- platform fees;
- other disclosed charges.
Any mandatory cRUD fee should be disclosed before the Organizer becomes liable.
48. Organizer payouts
cRUD does not collect attendee payments and does not pay out funds to Organizers.
49. No payout functionality implied
cRUD does not hold or settle Organizer funds.
Any future payout model would require a revised version of these Terms before launch.
50. Payment-regulatory structure
cRUD does not receive attendee funds or settle funds onward to Organizers. Payments to cRUD are for cRUD's own services, invoiced by cRUD and paid by bank transfer or UPI.
If cRUD ever proposed to receive attendee funds for Organizers, the legal and payment-regulatory structure, including the RBI framework for payment aggregators, would need to be reviewed before launch.
51. Regulated Payment Provider
cRUD does not operate payment aggregation and does not use a Payment Provider for Event Passes. Event Passes are invoiced by cRUD and paid by bank transfer or UPI.
52. Merchant onboarding
No merchant onboarding applies, because Organizers do not sell through cRUD. An Organizer buying Event Passes provides the billing and tax information needed for a cRUD invoice, such as legal name, address and GST details where applicable.
53. KYC
cRUD does not run payment-provider KYC for Organizers. cRUD may verify billing identity and authority to place an order before issuing an invoice or allocating Event Passes.
54. Organizer payout account
Not applicable. cRUD does not hold or pay out Organizer funds, so no payout account is required.
55. Payout timing
Not applicable. No payout is made to Organizers.
56. Settlement delays
Not applicable. cRUD does not settle funds to Organizers.
57. Reserves
Not applicable. cRUD does not hold reserves of Organizer or Attendee funds.
58. Payment disputes
A customer may dispute a cRUD invoice or payment by contacting finance@thecrudcompany.com.
59. Payment dispute investigation
cRUD may review the relevant invoice, order and bank records in response to a payment dispute.
60. Fraudulent payment disputes
Knowingly false or abusive payment disputes may result in enforcement.
61. Dispute responsibility
cRUD does not process attendee payments, so no chargeback losses are allocated between cRUD, Organizers and payment providers. Disputes about a cRUD invoice are handled between cRUD and the invoiced customer.
62. Negative balance
Not applicable. cRUD does not maintain Organizer balances.
63. Refund funding
cRUD refunds only amounts paid to cRUD. Because cRUD does not collect attendee payments, it does not fund refunds of amounts an Organizer charged its attendees.
64. Fraudulent Paid Events
cRUD may immediately suspend a Paid Event suspected of:
- fraud;
- phishing;
- impersonation;
- illegal financial schemes;
- material deception.
65. Serious policy violations
Paid functionality does not exempt Organizers from the Acceptable Use Policy.
66. Prohibited Paid Events
An Organizer must not charge users for events primarily involving prohibited conduct including:
- child exploitation;
- fraud;
- serious illegal activity;
- prohibited violence;
- malicious cyber activity;
- unlawful goods/services.
67. Immediate cancellation by cRUD
cRUD may immediately restrict or cancel a Paid Event where reasonably necessary for:
- safety;
- fraud prevention;
- security;
- law;
- serious policy violations.
68. Organizer refund entitlement after enforcement
If cRUD terminates an Organizer for material policy violation, that Organizer will generally not be entitled to refund of cRUD platform fees already paid, subject to mandatory law.
69. Attendee treatment after Organizer violation
Attendee refund treatment is separate from whether the violating Organizer receives a refund.
For example:
Organizer may lose its cRUD fees while affected Attendees may still need to receive refunds.
This distinction is important.
70. Withholding payouts after suspected fraud
Not applicable. cRUD does not make payouts to Organizers.
71. Permanent Organizer ban
Serious fraud or abuse may result in:
- Account termination;
- Organization termination;
- domain blocking;
- restriction from future paid events.
72. Anti-circumvention
A terminated Organizer must not create replacement Organizations to evade enforcement.
73. Attendee misconduct
Paid access does not permit an Attendee to violate cRUD policies.
74. Attendee removal
An Organizer or cRUD may remove an Attendee for:
- harassment;
- disruption;
- security violations;
- prohibited content;
- other material policy breaches.
75. Refund after removal for misconduct
Where an Attendee is removed for material misconduct, the Attendee is generally not entitled to a voluntary refund, subject to mandatory law.
76. Organizer discretion
Organizers may establish reasonable event conduct rules.
Such rules may not override:
- cRUD policies;
- applicable law.
77. Event content
cRUD does not guarantee:
- accuracy;
- quality;
- usefulness;
- commercial value;
- educational outcome
of Organizer-created Paid Event content.
78. Professional advice
An Organizer may provide content involving:
- business;
- finance;
- legal;
- medical;
- technical subjects.
Unless expressly stated, cRUD does not certify such content or the speaker’s professional qualifications.
79. Investment and financial promotions
Organizers offering regulated financial/investment content are responsible for complying with applicable laws and regulatory requirements.
80. Medical events
Organizers remain responsible for legally required disclaimers, licensing, and professional obligations concerning medical content.
81. Education and certification
A Paid Event does not automatically provide:
- accredited certification;
- academic credit;
- professional qualification
unless the Organizer has lawful authority and expressly states that such benefit applies.
82. Attendee reliance
Attendees should independently evaluate Customer-generated claims where appropriate.
83. Customer Content
Paid content remains Customer Content under the Terms of Service.
84. Intellectual property
Organizers must have rights to:
- presentations;
- video;
- music;
- recordings;
- logos;
- materials
used in a Paid Event.
85. Recording paid events
If a Paid Event is recorded, the Organizer is responsible for obtaining necessary permissions from:
- speakers;
- participants;
- rights holders.
86. Replay rights
Purchase of live Event Pass access does not automatically guarantee replay access unless the purchase description includes it.
87. Replay duration
Where replay access is included, any time limit should be disclosed.
88. Download rights
Access to a Paid Event or replay does not automatically permit:
- copying;
- redistribution;
- recording;
- resale;
- commercial reuse.
89. Attendee recording
Attendees must not record the event without authorization where doing so violates:
- law;
- Organizer rules;
- intellectual-property rights.
90. Privacy
Personal data associated with Paid Events is processed according to:
https://www.thecrudcompany.com/trust-center/privacy-policy
91. Organizer privacy obligations
Organizers remain responsible for their independent processing of:
- attendee details;
- payment-related information they receive;
- exported attendee information;
- marketing follow-up.
92. Marketing after a Paid Event
Purchase of an Event Pass does not automatically mean an Attendee has consented to unrelated cRUD promotional marketing.
93. Organizer marketing
The Organizer must independently ensure it can lawfully send marketing communications to Attendees.
94. Transactional communications
Paid Event purchases may generate essential communications such as:
- purchase confirmation;
- access instructions;
- schedule changes;
- cancellation;
- refund notices.
These are transactional/operational communications.
95. Communications Policy
cRUD’s communication rules are further described at:
https://www.thecrudcompany.com/trust-center/communications-consent-policy
96. Data sharing with Organizer
To operate the Paid Event, cRUD may make relevant information available to the Organizer, including:
- purchaser identity;
- registration;
- attendance;
- engagement.
97. Payment information sharing
cRUD does not process attendee payment information, so none is shared with Organizers. cRUD does not collect payment-card credentials.
98. Consumer rights
Nothing in these Terms removes consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
India’s consumer-protection framework applies to e-commerce for goods and services and requires relevant entities to disclose material information concerning pricing, refunds, grievance mechanisms and payment methods. (official Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020)
99. Unfair contract terms
cRUD and Organizers must not rely on these Terms to override mandatory rights or enforce terms prohibited by applicable law.
100. Grievances
Paid Event complaints may be submitted through:

- the applicable invoice or agreement.
106. Refund processing
Approved refunds will normally be returned by bank transfer or UPI to the account from which payment was received.
107. Refund timing
Banks may take additional time to credit a completed refund.
108. Partial refunds
Where appropriate, partial refunds may be used for:
- partially delivered events;
- material partial failure;
- another justified remedy.
109. Credits
cRUD or an Organizer may offer a credit instead of a refund where:
- the Attendee agrees;
- applicable law permits;
- event terms allow.
A credit should not be forced where law requires a monetary refund.
110. Promotional tickets
Discounted or promotional Event Passes may have special conditions that are disclosed before purchase.
111. Complimentary access
An Event Pass issued free of charge has no monetary refund value.
112. Discount codes
Organizers may use:
- promotional codes;
- discounts
where supported.
Abuse of discount mechanisms may result in cancellation.
113. Pricing errors
Where an obvious technical pricing error occurs, cRUD or the Organizer may cancel/refund the transaction rather than being required to provide the event at a clearly erroneous price, subject to applicable law.
114. Currency
Paid Events may be offered in supported currencies.
Any currency conversion performed by a bank may involve charges outside cRUD’s control.
115. Cross-border purchases
Cross-border payments may involve:
- bank charges;
- foreign exchange;
- taxes;
- bank transfer restrictions.
Payments from outside India are made by international bank transfer against a cRUD invoice. cRUD does not facilitate cross-border payments for Organizers or Attendees.
116. Geographic restrictions
Paid Events may be restricted by:
- geography;
- legal requirements;
- Organizer choice.
Such restrictions should be disclosed where material.
117. Sanctions and restricted transactions
cRUD may decline transactions where necessary to comply with applicable sanctions or legal restrictions.
118. Payment risk controls
cRUD may use controls such as:
- verifying billing identity before invoicing;
- matching payments to invoices;
- confirming any change to bank details through a separate channel;
- delaying allocation until payment is confirmed.
119. False positives
A legitimate payment may occasionally be delayed while it is matched to an invoice.
cRUD cannot guarantee when a bank will credit a transfer.
120. Event Pass transfer
If transfer functionality is introduced, it may be subject to:
- Organizer approval;
- deadline;
- identity verification.
121. Event Pass revocation
An Event Pass may be revoked because of:
- refund;
- recall or reversal of the payment by a bank;
- fraud;
- policy enforcement;
- duplicate issuance.
122. Refund revokes access
Where a full refund is issued, associated paid access may be revoked.
123. Payment disputes and access
An Event Pass may be suspended while a payment dispute, or a bank recall of the payment, is investigated.
124. Organizer insolvency or disappearance
Where an Organizer becomes unavailable or fails to provide an event, attendee remedies may depend on:
- who received the payment;
- applicable consumer law;
- cRUD’s role.
cRUD does not collect attendee payments, so remedies for amounts paid to an Organizer lie with that Organizer, subject to applicable consumer law.
125. Platform discontinuation
If cRUD discontinues Event Pass functionality, we will seek to address active paid events reasonably, including:
- notice;
- completion;
- migration;
- refund/credit where appropriate.
126. Force majeure
Events beyond reasonable control may affect a Paid Event, including:
- natural disasters;
- network disruption;
- government orders;
- major provider outages.
Organizer and attendee remedies depend on:
- event terms;
- applicable law;
- circumstances.
127. cRUD outage
A significant cRUD-controlled failure may result in:
- replay;
- rescheduling;
- credit;
- refund
where appropriate.
128. No guaranteed business result
Purchase of an Event Pass does not guarantee:
- learning outcome;
- revenue;
- business results;
- certification;
- employment;
- investment performance.
129. No endorsement
The presence of a Paid Event on cRUD does not mean The cRUD Company endorses:
- Organizer;
- speaker;
- offer;
- commercial claim.
130. Reviews and ratings
If cRUD later provides reviews, additional review-integrity rules may apply.
131. Platform moderation
cRUD may investigate a Paid Event following:
- complaints;
- automated risk signals;
- legal requests.
132. Customer cooperation
Organizers may be asked to provide:
- proof of identity;
- speaker authorization;
- refund information;
- rights documentation;
- evidence of lawful business activity.
133. Failure to cooperate
Serious failure to cooperate with a legitimate fraud/safety investigation may result in suspension.
134. Enforcement records
cRUD may retain appropriate records of:
- event suspension;
- refund;
- fraud;
- account enforcement.
135. Data retention
Paid-event transaction records may be retained as described in the Privacy Policy, the Billing, Cancellation and Refund Policy, applicable law and cRUD's applicable retention practices.

We may record acceptance of the applicable Event Pass Terms version at purchase.
137. Terms versioning
Each purchase should be associated with the Terms in effect at the time of the transaction.
138. Material Terms changes
Material changes should ordinarily apply prospectively to future purchases unless:
- legally permitted;
- appropriately notified;
- otherwise contractually agreed.
139. No retroactive removal of acquired rights
Updating these Terms does not automatically eliminate mandatory or contractual rights already attached to a completed transaction.
140. Organizer-specific agreement
Where cRUD enables Organizations to sell paid access, the Organizer may be required to separately accept Organizer Paid Event Terms or equivalent commercial provisions before first enabling payment functionality.
141. Attendee Terms
If paid attendee access is introduced, Attendees should be shown the relevant Event Pass Terms before purchase.
142. Different acceptance events
There are therefore two separate legal events:
Organizer
Activates paid webinar selling.
Attendee
Purchases an Event Pass.
Both should be recorded.
143. Organizer activation record
